My name is Călin Pintea. I’m a debut Romanian author, now living in Texas, and I’ve just completed the manuscript of my novel: “Under the Sun of Slavery.”

This is a historical fiction novel set in West Africa, in the 19th century, during the brutal era of slavery. It tells the story of a young man whose name is stripped away-and of the woman who dares to speak it again.
A story about identity erased and reclaimed, about chains you cannot see, and about a love that refuses to die.

I’m currently looking for a literary agent, translator, or publisher who believes in powerful human stories and can help bring this novel to an international audience.
